1. What cookies and similar technologies are

We group cookies into four categories. Strictly Necessary cookies are required for the website to function and to deliver services you have asked for, including the cookie that records your cookie choices, and cannot be switched off. Functional cookies enable enhanced features such as live chat or remembering preferences. Analytics and Performance cookies help us understand how visitors interact with a website, collected anonymously or pseudonymously. Marketing and Targeting cookies measure the effectiveness of campaigns and, where applicable, support relevant messaging and retargeting. Within each category, cookies can be first or third party, and session or persistent.

5. Cookies set by the Relevic product on customer websites
When a business installs the Relevic tag on its own website, the tag sets cookies on that business's website. These cookies are first party to the customer's website, not to relevic.com. They contain no names, email addresses or payment data; they store only short codes and dates that allow experiments and personalised experiences to work. In this arrangement, the website owner (our customer) is the data controller and is responsible for their own cookie banner and consent collection. The Relevic tag is designed to honour the consent signal collected by the website owner before setting any non-essential cookie. See the Consent management section for details.

6. Consent management
On relevic.com. When you first visit relevic.com, we present a cookie banner that lets you decide which cookies we may use, and we do not set non-essential cookies until you have made a choice. The banner lets you accept all non-essential cookies, reject all of them with equal prominence to the accept option, or choose by category. Strictly Necessary cookies are always active because the website cannot work without them. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using a persistent "Cookie Settings" link, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Your choices are stored in the rel_consent_cookie described above.
For customers using the Relevic product. If you are a business using Relevic on your own website, you are the data controller for your visitors' data and are responsible for collecting valid consent from your visitors before non-essential cookies are set on your site. Most customers do this using their own Consent Management Platform, such as OneTrust, Cookiebot, CookieYes, Osano or Usercentrics. The Relevic tag is designed to work with these platforms: it checks the consent signal provided by your platform before setting any non-essential cookie, it responds to consent changes so that if a visitor withdraws or updates their consent the tag adjusts accordingly, it honours Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals which support opt-out requirements in the United States, and it can align with Google Consent Mode v2 where you use Google tags. You remain responsible for configuring your platform correctly and for ensuring the consent you collect is valid under the laws that apply to you.
How visitors can control cookies. Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through their settings, and the cookie controls for Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge are documented by their providers. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of a website from working properly. You can also opt out of certain third-party tracking using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, Your Online Choices (youronlinechoices.eu) in the EU and UK, and YourAdChoices, operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance, in the United States.
7. Using Relevic on your website: suggested disclosure
If you use Relevic on your own website, you are the controller of your visitors' data and should describe Relevic in your own privacy and cookie notices. The following language is provided as a starting point that you can adapt to your circumstances. It is not legal advice.
"We use Relevic, a website-personalization and A/B testing service provided by RLVC Ltd (trading as Relevic), to tailor the content shown on our site and to measure how visitors interact with it. Relevic sets first-party cookies on this website and processes information such as pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers, IP address and approximate location, device and browser details, and on-site behaviour such as pages viewed, clicks, scroll depth and time on page. You should also list the Relevic cookies shown in the tables above within your own cookie table, and make sure your consent banner gates these cookies so they are not set until your visitor consents.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, in the law, or in our practices.
